The Gators are an adult hockey team that plays in the Minneapolis AHA League, C1 West division. The 2009/2010 season is our third year in league play, and we have featured the same core group of guys every year. The Gators have made the playoffs every year that we have been in the AHA. Our Gators name comes from our unique formation; when we decided to create a new team, we had access to a set of jerseys from an old Atlanta AHA team, the Atlanta Tailgators. The rest is history.

| Stellar game by Dave lifts Gators over the Mutiny, move to 6-4 |

Dave has a great game between the pipes, turning away 33 shots to lead the Gators to a hard fought victory in this back and forth game. Although the Gators would win 5-3, the Mutants went out ahead in the first 1-0 before a great play between Scottie and Ed tie the game. Both played the puck cleanly out of the air before Ed puts it home. After having a goal waved off in the first, Clay gets a better call on a similar play to knot the game 2-2 in the second. Same score in the third, and with the Gators down a man, Chuck leads the puck sweetly out of the zone and finds Gary, who has somehow managed to slip behind the Mutants D. A clean breakaway ends in a shorthanded goal. Ed scores again to give the Gators a cushion. The Mutiny press but the big 'G' hold them off it the end, when Randy scores on an empty netter, redeeming himself after a miss a few seconds earlier. Gators now lead 5-2, and a PPG by the Mutiny with less then a minute left is too little, too late. A good team win!
